UNITY BUILDS HEALTH AND EDUCATION FACILITIES Buenavista, Marinduque- “In the midst of the continuing development in what was dubbed the depressed Barangay of Yook is the overwhelming unity of its people…We once envisioned a Barangay Health Center that will look like the Barangay Hall itself, but what we were able to build was even bigger than what we dreamed of…There is nothing wrong in dreaming for a better future, as long as it is paired with persistence.” A DREAM COME TRUE I am Kristina Grace A. Fernandico, sponsor child of Norwegian Mission Alliance Philippines from Navotas area. I’ve been a sponsor child since I was in my kindergarten days, 1994. My father is working as a Security Guard in a company, while my Mother is a vendor of variety of food spices and selling it house-to-house. I am the eldest child among the 4 siblings. My parents has always helped each other to give us a better future, and I was so blessed that Norwegian Mission Alliance Philippines have supported me to reach my dream. AN AFFAIR TO REMEMBER! Thank God it’s Friday! As we welcome our new Consultant Mr. Ole Martin Uglem and his wife Mrs. Hilde Bringedal Uglem into the NMAP FAMILY last January 22.What an affair to remember! |

NORWEGIAN MISSION ALLIANCE PHILIPPINES, INC., is a diaconal mission organization focused on children and youth, utilizing holistic development approach to about 9,000 children in Metro Manila, Rizal, Laguna, Bulacan and Marinduque. PROGRAM OFFICER FOR COMMUNITY EMPOWERMENT PROGRAM Place of Work: MARINDUQUE Desirable Qualifications: Ø A graduate of 4 year course in Community Development, Social Work, or any social science related course, 5 to 7 years background in child and youth focus programs and or experienced in community development and project cycle management. Ø At least 3 to 4 years experience in leading and managing child & youth programs utilizing holistic approach particularly on community organizing and community based organizational building for people’s organization and youth sector Ø With excellent knowledge on participatory action research, community awareness & education; partnership and capacity building of LGUs , Council for the protection of children; Ø Experience in LGU, NGO and PO collaboration Ø With good experience in managing and supervising staff to respond to community needs Ø Good communication, facilitation skills both in English and Tagalog Ø Good Team Player in a multi-cultural and inter-faith setting Ø Must be an Evangelical Christian
HEALTH FACILITATOR Place of Work : MARINDUQUE Desirable Qualifications: Ø Graduate of a 4-year Medical Science Course primarily focusing on Public Health, Nutrition, Nursing and/or other medical science related course. Other related educations might be considered Ø With experienced working on a child focused organizations/projects and with good grasps of networking and link-aging ing task with focus on health issues, awareness, programs and strategies including familiarity in community development work and/or community-based health approach. Ø Good communication, facilitation and documentation skills both in English and Tagalog Ø With excellent knowledge of alternative health care approaches and applications such as herbal medicines, and other popular medical practices and heallth care methods Ø Experience in coordinating and conducting medical and dental missions Ø With capacity to train; and develop health training designs & modules Ø Pro-people, service-oriented; process-oriented Ø w/skills in health advocacy and campaign
